My name is Annette Reid. I reside in Alabama. I attended the University of South Alabama, and I am a Nurse. Married to a wonderful man for 7 years.  In my 23 years of Nursing, I have met several Domestic violence victims. My job and concern in life is to help others. I have been writing about the up and downs of life for 10 years. Small articles, short stories and manuscripts. Through the course of my career, I have met so many people that have touched my heart and left an impact on my soul. Domestic violence is one of the organizations that I have found great pleasure in my involvement.
I have lost 2 family members to Cancer. Being active in the cancer society and with awareness groups is also something I really enjoy doing.
The book: Domestic Violence The Disease, The Sara Farraday Story, is fictional, but based on true events. The heroine in this story, is a combination of 4 different women that were honored to open their hearts and share the living hell that they had suffered as domestic violence victims. These women were able to find the strength and courage that they needed in order to end this fatal disease. I hope one day to see this incredible story become a movie. There are so many people out there that need to know that someone cares.
